There is lots of information in this section which will help you get to know us and THOSE WHO CAN PROVIDE SERVICES TO YOU.
Find out about the people that can help you, AND what we’ve been up to.
Healthcare related services, accessible via GenderGP.co.uk, are provided by:
Counsellors | Psychotherapists | Nurses | Doctors | Voice therapists
Clinical assistants | Pharmacists | Social workers
While you can access the support of these professionals via the GenderGP website, they are each responsible for providing that care in their own right and are responsibly registered with their applicable regulatory body. For more information please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Due to ongoing concerns of transphobia in some public bodies in the UK, all medical services are managed and provided by doctors working outside of the UK.
Whether you are transgender, non-binary or your feelings around gender don’t quite fit with what society expects of you, we have access to people who can help.
You can ask us anything and we can help you to access confidential advice, support and treatment, regardless of your financial status, age, gender or medical needs.
Whatever your question, ask today and we will get back to you ASAP.
Many patients are faced with barriers when they are trying to access gender-affirming surgery. Surgeons are often anxious about performing irreversible procedures on patients who may later not achieve their desired outcome and be dissatisfied with their results. Hence, surgeons can make requests from doctors and psychiatrists to perform assessments and to endorse the recommendation for surgery.
As the pool of doctors and psychiatrists working in this field in the UK is small, and as their assessments and reports can be expensive, we have options to make surgery referrals more affordable for trans people. We can refer you to people who can make low cost assessments and referrals for surgery.
