Nursing and Midwifery Council

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is the professional regulator for nurses and midwives in the UK.

Nursing and maternity services must be explicitly inclusive and safe for trans and gender diverse people. As a major provider of gender-affirming healthcare, GenderGP are actively advocating that the Nursing and Midwifery Council ensure they maintain their working relationships with LGBT+ organisations such Stonewall UK, and commit to regularly messaging its members on the importance of diversity and inclusivity and the need to support their trans and gender diverse patients
