Counselling & Support
Nobody accessing our services is forced to have any kind of counselling or psychotherapy. However, we fully understand how useful talking through your thoughts and feelings can be. Our specialist team are here to talk to you, your family, your loved ones or anyone who cares about you. Whether you want a one-off chat or to book a course of sessions, we are here to listen and to help.
Our Pathway sessions give us a chance to get to know you and for you to get to know us. An essential part of our ‘Appraisal Pathway’, our Information Gathering Session leads our informed consent model. Our Follow Up Sessions see how things are going and how we can help you further, and our Pathway Quick Query are great for a quick chat to answer your questions.
Our Discovery Sessions allow you to talk to someone who can answer your questions. Whether you are not sure how you are feeling, or whether you need some help getting blood tests or prescriptions, or just want an initial chat to make sure this is safe for you. You choose who you need to talk to and we can then answer all your questions.
If you have questions about your health, your medication, the effects of hormones or surgery, or anything else that you would like to talk to a doctor about, please book a consultation. Our doctors are specialists in all things gender and can help you make the nest decisions about your transition while keeping you healthy.
One or two sessions, depending on need, with one of our gender specialist counsellors. These sessions are required to inform surgery referral letters. A chance for you to share your thoughts on what you hope that surgery will achieve, and for us to make sure that that is achievable for you.
