This is an opportunity to speak to someone before you start on the Appraisal Pathway and embark on your journey with GenderGP. Depending on what you would most like to discuss, book with either the Pathway Team (process and procedure), the Wellbeing Team (thoughts and feelings) or the Medical Team (health and fitness).
Our Pathway Team members are responsible for guiding every individual case through the GenderGP Appraisal Pathway. Their role is to ensure you get access to the medical and support care you need in a timely manner. Our Pathway Team members are not medically trained but they are clinically skilled and work together closely with our medical team. They can answer questions related to how the system works, and about your case, letters, prescriptions and blood tests.
Our team of gender specialist counsellors have worked with hundreds of trans patients and their loved ones. They can help you to navigate your own feelings as well as helping those around you to understand what you are going through, and work towards a place of support and acceptance. They can offer one-off support sessions or more structured counselling services. They are also the first port of call if you are just a little unsure of your feelings before you start your medical transition.
Our doctors provide gender-affirming care in line with international best practice. They make the important decisions about medicines, blood tests and your health. Our doctors are supported by our clinical assistants and clinically skilled staff. If your questions and queries relate to your health then please book with the medical team.
