Diana joined the GenderGP team in 2018, with a view to putting her skills as a counsellor to good use helping members of the trans community. She spent many years as a Medical Secretary to a Consultant Child Psychiatrist, during which time she saw first hand the positive impact which an affirmative approach can have on an individual’s mental health.
She enjoys working with people of all ages and looks to create a non-judgemental space where people can talk openly about their issues in relation to their transition. She understands that the overall aim of counselling is to provide the opportunity for individuals to improve the quality of their lives, even though there may be situations beyond their control.
She believes that an empathic, non-judgemental approach enables clients to move forward to a happier place in their lives. She loves the variety that comes with counselling and has helped people of all ages ranging from neuro diverse individuals to teens and senior adults, with whom she has a particular affinity.
