Jordan Ross Jakomin, M.S, CCC-SLP 

Jordan is a licensed and board-certified speech-language pathologist specialising in gender affirming voice and communication. He holds a certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is an active member of The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH). 

Jordan believes in the importance of connecting with other healthcare professionals around the world who are involved in transgender healthcare, to learn and grow from one another. To that end he has teamed up with GenderGP to offer two interactive workshops:

Voice Feminization Workshop
Workshop in a group format to inform and educate trans and non-binary individuals about how voice therapy can help them to feminize their voice. The session will take place over Zoom and will be in the form of an interactive seminar. Participants will learn about the theory and practice of voice therapy, they will be given vocal exercises they can practice at home and they will learn how to choose a voice therapist that is right for them. Jordan will also recommend the best apps and other tools to support participants in achieving their goal. The workshops are intended for anyone who has considered voice therapy but isn’t sure where to start.

Topics Covered: anatomy, breath support, relaxation, resonance, vocal health, pitch, intonation, coughing, laughing, throat-clearing, body language

Session duration ​​90-120 minutes

Voice Masculinization Workshop
