Background

Dr Helen Webberley’s investigation by the GMC which began in 2016 will be heard at a Medical Practitioner’s Tribunal starting at the end of July.

The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) will determine whether or not, based on the evidence provided by the GMC, and the explanations given by Dr Helen, she is fit to resume her practice as a doctor. The Tribunal will hear from experts in the field, from those who raised the complaints, and from those who were involved in the initial concerns raised by the NHS doctors.

We would also like to invite other patients and stakeholders to share their thoughts and opinions. As well as anyone who may have been affected by the existing care provision in the UK, by the care that Dr Webberley provided, or by the care provided by GenderGP – the service she founded. This will help the hearing panel to arrive at a conclusion.

We have always felt that voices of the patients and the public are vital in this case and we want to give you the opportunity to have your say.

Thank you for your support.
