The NHS Race and Health Observatory has launched its new website. Established in 2020, the organisation aims to identify and tackle ethnic inequalities in health and social care – focusing on independent research that aims to improve health outcomes, better protect the vulnerable, and create equitable environments.
Navigating and accessing affirming healthcare and wellbeing support in England for trans people can be extremely difficult and confusing – this is often more pronounced for trans people from black and minority ethnic backgrounds.
The new website promises to address some of the issues on the health inequalities that people of colour and minority ethnic individuals encounter, through independent research, analysis and recommendations.
